***Update on 1/22/16*** Ben is continuing to grow by leaps and bounds - where to start? Ben is currently still in speech therapy, occupational therapy and behavioral therapy (he'll be starting therapeutic horseback riding next week), and is improving in each area. His vocabulary continues to explode, his sentence structure is getting better and better, his physical coordination is improving, and his behaviors are getting more and more appropriate. (As I write this, Ben has been upstairs playing with his brother alone for almost 2 hours by themselves!). Ben is currently in mainstream kindergarten with daily resource time where he steps out of the class for special teaching sessions, and all of his teachers/therapists at school consistently remark how bright Ben is. He's made such tremendous progress, in his academics, communication, social skills, potty-training (done!) - and we're doing everything we can to ensure that continues. With all of that said, we know that Ben still has a long journey ahead of him, which is why we are continuing to pursue stem cell therapy. We've seen such tremendous gains nearly immediately after each round of therapy (3 completed so far), that Ben will be making his 4th trip to Panama with his Mom and Grandma in March of this year.
