Nathaniel Redd is a vibrant, cheerful 2-year-old boy from Tulsa (better known to his family as “Bubba”). Bubba struggles with a urea cycle disorder called Argininosuccinic acid lyase deficiency. Due to this condition, his body doesn’t remove ammonia as it should, which has made him very sick for most of his life. At this point, Bubba is in desperate need of a liver transplant to ensure that he lives a long, healthy, happy, and energetic life.

Along with this debilitating disease have come several challenges for us. Bubba has had numerous life flights, hospital visits, and it has slowed his learning development. Being in and out of the hospital, he has also missed out on a lot of time with our family. A liver transplant will be life-changing for Bubba and will allow him to have a normal childhood. We are looking forward to a happy and healthy life for him post-transplant.
