Danny grew up in New Palestine, Indiana before relocating to Indianapolis in his early teens. He graduated from Manual High School. In 1986, Danny and his wife Annie were married and began a blended family consisting of 8 children. Danny worked at Rand McNally Printing for 25-years before switching gears to Ingersoll-Rand where he worked for another 12-years manufacturing materials. Unfortunately, in 2011, Danny was forced into early retirement due to his liver damage and was no longer able to work. He spends his time attending support groups, visiting with family, finding an occasional fishing hole and watching old-time movies. Danny wants to see his grandchildren and great grandchild grow up and a transplant is his only option.
Transplants are lifesaving but are financially draining. Even with insurance, Danny faces out of pocket expenses for copays, medications to suppress his immune system so his body does not reject the new liver and-going tests and medications following the transplant.
To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in Danny’s honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Great Lakes Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. If you would like to make a contribution, please click the DONATE NOW bar.
We thank you for your support, generosity and most of all your prayers. With this transplant, Danny will be able to see his family continue to grow, attend ballgames, children’s choir and performances, and most of all be a part of his family for years to come.
With all our love and gratitude,
Annie Leach and family

Danny is scheduled for chemoembolization on November 15th. The plan is to stop the growth of one of the tumors that is currently at 3.4 cm. The maximum size for transplant is 5.0 cm. The growth of the tumor over one month period was approximately 1 cm. This is a scary procedure because he is still waiting on the pressure in the lungs to come down making a transplant possible.
We appreciate your continued support and prayers.
