Family and friends of Matthew Mitchell are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Matthew has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility to the full extent allowed by law for donors. Donors can be sure that funds donated will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

Thank you for your support!
We are thankful to say Matthew received a kidney transplant on Sept. 16th, 2019. One week before a 14 year old freshman that lived a block away had a terrible UTV wreck. Once the family decided to say good bye they called Matt immediately to if he was still listed. After testing it was determined to be a perfect match. It has been one week since surgery and he is doing great. We will be forever thankful to our neighbor's generosity. He has promised the boy's grandmother lifetime hugs.
As of July 25, 2019 Matt is active again on the Kidney transplant list! The good news is he will not lose accumulative time while being inactive. The nurse is telling him to prepare sooner rather than later. The HelpHopeLive account has been such a big help reimbursing prescription cost so far. Thank you to all who have donated.
Matt is now on the kidney transplant list! He is on O+ and can take a donor from the O group.
Scheduling exams for the kidney transplant is the next step of our journey.
Matt will be getting a call any day to schedule appointment at SLU for an evaluation.
