Guess I'm unusual because my memories of Danny are not from riding but from climbing stairs. Great times.

I've admired your ingenuity in putting together the Dirty Dozen and your ability to complete and repeat it. I wish you well in this harsh challenge that life has dealt.

One of the best times in my life was when you, me and Erick Robinson drove across the country together doing media for RAAM 2007. Ever since then, you've been a wealth of knowledge every year as I'm out there on the race. I remember several occasions when I would be out on route not knowing what to write about. So I would contact you and within minutes have more stats than I would ever need. Thank you for all your help over the years. I plan on being there with my camera when you hit a million miles.

One of my favorite memories of riding my first Dirty Dozen was Danny's encouraging remark at the bottom of Canton Ave, "It is possible, Carolyn, another girl has done it!" It took me three tries, but with his encouragement, I did it!

I did the 2014 Dirty Dozen and was amazed that not only was he running it, but Danny was riding it .........near the front! One of the top 5 hardest rides I've ever done. The best way to see the great city of Pittsburgh! Thanks, Danny. Good Luck!

One of my everlasting memories from my racing days in the 80's was the training ride i had with friends that included Danny. He rode up next to me and said, 'hey you're that Ed Kauffman kid. I'm Danny Chew.' I said, 'I know'. The ACA pro riders were gods to us. I rode the '85 Dirty Dozen. There were 5 of us. It was great. Glad to see how the event has grown. Ride on Danny!
