Post LVAD Surgery Sorry I had not posted in a while now. My dad is thankfully recovering very well from his LVAD (left ventricle assistance device) surgery. He was able to come home this past Saturday and we are beyond excited about it. While this is great news, this is not at all the end of his journey. The reason he had to get this LVAD was because his heart was so weak, he could not hold out to wait for a transplant. This LVAD is only a temporary measure to make sure he can live a good life, he still has to get a heart transplant, and with your prayers and your help, everyday we get one step closer to this final goal. Once again, I just wanna say thank you to everyone who has been keeping up with my dad and his progress, we greatly appreciate it and may God bless you all.

Rehab-ing Hello family and friends,
Sorry I have been absent from updating so much lately. I have good news, my dad started his rehab yesterday, which consists of him walking around the hospital, yesterday he walked 2 laps, and today he is up to 4. Yayy!! We, as a family are also in the process of attending learning sessions about his heart pump and how it works; this includes the battery setups and learning how to change the dressings, since he'll have to do this the WHOLE time he has this pump. All in all, he is recovering nicely and we hope that by next week he will be at the final stage of rehab so he can be one step closer to coming home :) Once again, if any one of you would like to call or text me, feel free to do so at 832-310-7439
