Had surgery on the bone in his foot that was infected yesterday-placing wound vac today. He is currently at St. David’s Rehab Hospital. There trying to decide whether to scrape bone further which would eliminate pic line and antibiotics for 6 weeks -decision has not been made yet about that. That’s the latest Chapter #16-since the catastrophic injury.

Charlie had a catastrophic injury a year ago September, he is a quadriplegic , now, he has been in 3 different Hospitals over the last 1 year and two Nursing Homes.
He is currently in Rehab Hospital to learn how to use a transfer board. He has had shoulder surgery, flap surgery and now they have found an infection in the bone of his foot for which he ad surgery 1//8/18.I am hopeful that when he comes back home he can transfer from bed to wheelchair. We use a hydrolic Hoyer Lift now to transfer him to W/C. It has become increasingly difficult for me to do this task. I am a stage 4, COPD ,patient. It is our wish to be able to get an electronic Hoyer Lift and hopefully one day get a Handicapped van so Charlie isn’t always confined to the house. Thanks, so much, for anything you can do.
God Bless, Dad
