Ed’s heart was damaged by a virus and is functioning at less than 20% . Imagine struggling and needing assistance with daily routine activities. Ed has recently received an upgrade from a single lead Internal Cardiac Defibrillator to a Bi-ventricular Pacemaker/ICD. The new ICD and medications have not improved the hearts functionality; the heart and other organs continue to decline. We are at the point where he needs a new heart to improve his quality of life and he is on the heart transplant list. We are asking family and friends to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live, to help with critical expenses, uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Ed has insurance , but many transplant expenses are not covered, such as his anti-rejection medication, that may not be covered completely and after his transplant he will need to take this medication for the rest of his life.
Edward has chosen the fundraiser Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and is tax deductible for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the GIVE button and please encourage others to GIVE and share this on their social media.
