Jose was diagnosed with heart failure only a couple of years ago and now needs a heart and lung transplant to survive. We are asking family and friends to join us in fundraising for the non-profit Help Hope Live to help with critical expenses Jose will have right after surgery.
Jose is a father of three (two 12 years old and a 4-year-old) and has worked hard to provide for his family until this disease put him in a hospital bed. His wife is now the only one bringing an income to provide for their family. They all need our help.
Jose does have health insurance, but many necessary medications he needs after the transplant are not covered. Anti-rejection medications alone are very expensive and he will need those for the rest of his life.
Donations made to Help Hope Live will help relieve Jose’s financial burden and allow him to focus his energy on recuperating and living a happy, healthy life with his wife and children.
Family and friends of Jose Interiano Pena are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Jose has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

Thank you for your support!
