Thank you so much for visiting our fundraiser for Anne Easton. Family and friends of Anne Easton are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with her much needed stem cell transplantation. Sadly, since her diagnosis of cardiomyopathy and CHF at the beginning of 2019, life has severely changed for Anne. Where not that long ago Anne was able to enjoy traveling with family, playing with her grandsons, going to church every week, gathering with friends, cooking delicious meals and enjoying walks in the neighborhood and beach ~ that has now all changed. Sadly, now even the most basic of daily personal tasks have become a struggle and leaving the house to go to doctors appointments requires a wheelchair. Any of you who know my mom are likely shocked by this like we are, but sadly her heart was confirmed by her cardiologist to have been damaged by a previous medical treatment and has resulted in this rapid decline of heart function. We have tried to resolve her condition with the treatments recommended by her doctors including a pacemaker implantation last year and with medication to no avail. Having exhausted all of the medical options available with no success and continued decline occurring is what led us to research and discover this incredible and cutting edge procedure that has helped countless others with the same condition as my mom (Anne) and has allowed them to return to normal heart function and then going on to enjoy their life with renewed health. Thankfully, we are overjoyed to announce after completing the rigorous submission process, my mom has been approved by the medical team as a good candidate for a Mesenchymal stem cell transplant (the stem cells are harvested from the discarded umbilical cords of screened healthy babies post delivery, they are NOT embryonic stem cells) at the Stem Cell Institute. This type of stem cell has a very high success rate, has no risk of rejection, the procedure is minimally invasive and only takes 15 min each day over the course of only 4 days and again, it is very important for us to note these are stem cells from umbilical cords of delivered healthy babies and not stem cells from embryos (important for ethical reasons and safety reasons for the recipient). We have also been blessed by being approved to be able to team with Help Hope Live to raise funds for my mom’s stem cell transplant with our donors being able to receive a tax deduction for their generous donations. This is such a blessing and we’re very thankful for this opportunity. We would be so thankful for any donation small or large that you can spare to help us reach our goal $28,150, so mom can receive this lifesaving procedure and go back to enjoying life for many years to come. Thank you so much for letting us share with you about our current struggles with my mom’s health and we’d so appreciate you joining us in prayer that this fundraising campaign and the future transplant procedure are successful. We prayerfully look forward to soon be sharing updates of healing and restoration post transplant.
