my life without boundɑries-
When a gunshot wound left Mario Zapata, 25, paralyzed from the neck down, he knew life would be different.
The bullet that tore through his flesh lodged high in his cervical spinal cord and left him immediately paralyzed from the neck down. The metal fragments damaged Mario’s C2, C3, and C4 cervical vertebrae the ones responsible for controlling the diaphragm and allowing the body to breathe on its own. He was placed on a ventilator and till now that how his body breathes.
“There are so many feelings that go along with an injury like this,” he says. “I’ve thought a lot about how my life has changed. I used to get upset thinking about all the things I’ve lost and I’d get discouraged because I can’t even breathe on my own.” But I learn to live and accept everything just the way it is.

The reason for starting this campaign page on help hope live is because the laptop I have already very worn down and my eye gaze camera does not work properly. This device allows me to control the computer with my eyes so I can type I use an Eye Gaze to operate my computer which lets me communicate with family and friends I use Skype to visit with my three sons and do searches on the Internet and make doctors appointments. I research my medical condition and search for and read about things that interest me like history and true crime. Many other functions I had this computer for over 10 years. The other assistive technology components I will be needing are a buddy button and a switch adapted mouse, plus labor to have a computer tech put everything together. I want to thank everyone who took the time to read my story and for your donations.
