Eric has been dealing with multiple myeloma and kidney troubles since 2015. At his initial diagnosis his kidneys had failed. He started dialysis then and had it for 2 and a half years. He then had a stem cell transplant which helped to stabilize his kidneys so he could stop dialysis. The fall of 2020 they started to fail again and are now considered in failure. He continues to work at his employment and has all this time. He is married and has two children. His kids are 11 and 14 and cannot remember a time daddy didn’t have this illness.

Chris, Eric’s younger brother has offered to donate a kidney to him. He is a perfect match.

Eric is going to Massachusetts General June 3 to be evaluated for a combo transplant of Stems cells and kidney. Chris will need to donate both items for Eric's use. We're hoping Chris can donate those in Raleigh NC so that he can recover at home. If needed, he can go to Boston and donate his organs and then go back home to recover.
