Sorry that is has been so long from the last update. Life gets busy and before time has flown by. Let me try to catch you all up on what is going on. I am still waiting for the kidney that God has for me. It has been 5 years now that I have been on dialysis. A few of those years we, meaning my daughter-in-law Michelle and I did home dialysis and that worked well. I was on the machine for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. I had more energy because of the 5 day a week schedule. But due to family schedule with kids and all we decided to have me go back to in center dialysis. I go 3 days a week and it is working out fine. I am very tired on dialysis days but I go home and take a long nap and then ready to go the next day. My son's are not able to donate a kidney for a transplant for me for several reasons. The fact is they just won't work. So I am going to have to look else where. I have found out why I have not received a call from the Kidney List that I am on. It seems I have a very high count of "Anti-bodies" in my blood. Which means that I could have a high chance of rejection . So I will need a really good match for a successful transplant. So if any one out there would be interested in donating a kidney you could leave a message in the guest book and I will get information to you about being a kidney donor. Update by Dirk Darrow: Greetings to everyone. Michelle and I are the fundraising coordinators for mom's need. We have just initiated the campaign and we look forward to what God will do. Here's the current status of mom's health situation: she continues with dialysis five days/week. She gets muscle cramps very frequently which is very painful. We are hopeful to schedule the transplant procedure as quickly as will be allowed in order to allow mom to return to a better quality of life. We will keep you posted!
