Jasmine received a kidney from her sister in law, Kirsten Villa, on August 15th, 2016. She has good days and bad as she recovers, but Kristen undoubtedly saved Jasmine's life.
We are forever grateful to the Villas and to all of you who supported Jas as she worked toward a transplant and who continue to help. The journey is not over. Transplantation is a treatment, not a cure. Your support as she continues to get stronger means the world.

While getting a kidney is obviously a much better option than dialysis, having a viable fistula is a comforting safety net.
