Chris Whitworth became seriously ill five years ago. He was diagnosed with non-Alcoholic cirrhosis and was told that he needed a liver transplant. Some of you may know Chris from his job at Mohican Mills as a truck driver. Some of you may know him from the Vale community, and others may know him from North Brook where he grew up. He is the husband of Glenda Sigmon Whitworth, and the father of Kristen Whitworth. He has been a blessing to his family and friends, as well as his community. Now Chris and his family need your help.

Due to his poor health, Chris has been forced to stop working. Glenda is unable to work and must stay at home with him because of his medical condition. Because of complications, Chris can’t get the transplant in North Carolina. He is listed for transplant in Washington DC and this significantly increases the out-of-pocket medical expenses. Chris has to travel to and from Washington for testing and transplant and will have temporary living expenses for staying in Washington for six months post-transplant, and the very expensive anti-rejection medications. As friends, and acquaintances of the Whitworth family we can offer our help and prayers during this time. We can also help financially.
