Back home from another inspiring trip to Cleveland Clinic! This time we met with the head of the lung transplant program, who keeps seeing Eric Florida's name and wanted to meet the man at the top of her organ transplant list. Due to the nature of the organ allocation process, she says, Eric will likely spend at least two years waiting for a donor. She also took over his case and will coordinate our future visits so that we're not spending so much time going back and forth - it's not easy for Eric to spend 12 hours in the car, nor is it easy for our budget to spend several nights in a hotel every other month! So buckle up, friends, we may pursue listing Eric on a second transplant list to try and shorten this projected 2-year time frame. You may read about visits to Pennsylvania or Arizona, where the other hospitals to perform lung/liver transplants are located. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers, and we hope against all odds that Eric will be healed very soon.
