Dear Family and Friends,
As some of you may or may not already know, my father, Craig Lauro was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic) a few months ago. In layman’s terms, this is pre-leukemia, and he needs a bone-marrow transplant in order to stop the progression to leukemia.

We had a setback with the 2nd transplant because of a cancerous mass that was found in Craigs lungs. Craig underwent surgery two weeks ago and was hospitalized for 10 days. He suffered minor complications, but overall is in good health and spirits and is resting at home to regain strength for the 2nd transplant. If all goes as planned he will complete the second transplant in a month to 6weeks. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers as we still have a long road to recovery ahead of us!

Thank you to all who helped us reach our goal! We are truly overwhelmed and honored by your generosity and well wishes. Special shout out to our first donor, Craig’s brother John and his family for their love and sacrifice.
Craig faces a dangerous second transplant soon and we will keep you posted on his progress. Please keep Craig in your prayers.
