Jaime Needs Your Help!

As some of you may know, in 2012 Jaime Lopez was walking across the street when he was struck by a sports utility vehicle — the driver was texting and driving. This accident has left him paralyzed with both a spinal cord injury and a traumatic brain injury. As you can imagine, Jaime’s recovery will be lifelong. At this point he has no use of his legs and limited use of his arms. He does have feeling all over and there is lots of hope.

Jaime is a friend with a real drive for life. His good positive attitude has always been evident and he has worked hard since age 12. He is an Army Veteran and a retired truck driver. Jaime has been in and out of hospitals and nursing homes for treatment. He is now home and is very much working towards having a life of independence and freedom – his focus is on his long-term survival rather than a life lived as a victim. He needs your help to fulfill this mission.
