Many of you are aware that Robert (Bob) Przykucki Sr., longtime resident of Alpena, Michigan, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, is battling leukemia. A bone marrow transplant is his best hope for a return to good health. Unfortunately, this will be very expensive. His medical insurance will not cover a majority of expenses incurred after his bone marrow treatment.

You may have attended grade school, high school or college, or called him a friend and work colleague at his many years working for General Motors. Perhaps you’ve sat next to him at mass or share a passion in rooting for U of M football, hunting, fishing, gardening, or daily bike rides along the river. Bob is a very important part of our family and he is determined to be around to enjoy many more years making memories. Thankfully, a donor match was found through the national registry, which he is immensely grateful for and will begin his opportunity to restore his life next month.

This last year has been incredibly challenging for the Przykucki family. To help with the financial burden of Bob’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Great Lakes Bone Marrow Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.
