I need your help to get a lung transplant so I can watch my grandchildren grow up.

My name is Warren Fitts, but everyone has always called me Bill. Everyone who knows me, knows that I have rarely stood still for very long. Between events for my five children and now for my 13 grandchildren, I have been a very busy person. However, since being diagnosed with C.O.P.D., which is now End Stage C.O.P.D. I have been forced to sit and watch from the window. I am no longer able to go bowling, golfing or fishing with family and friends, something I enjoyed doing with my father. With the rapid progression, I cannot even walk to my car. I depend on others to help me through the day and I would like to feel like they can depend on me again.

My most recent stay at the hospital could have been my last. The doctors discussed intubation, which would have been permanent. My family didn’t give up on me so I refused to give up on myself. With a new medical team, we now have hope for a lung transplant. This is my only chance to regain any quality of life. Transplantation is an amazing process though it is very expensive. Before losing hope all over again, my transplant team recommended fundraising to help pay for the expenses insurance will not cover.
