2019 marked 10 years since Rob’s spinal cord injury….your generosity enabled him to own a personal walking system. 5 years later we have the opportunity to update features, software and provide additional training.
A little bit about Rob’s journey….
Rob was born with a rare vascular anomalies condition, Blue Rubber Bleb Nevus Syndrome. This disease is caused by a genetic disorder, a birth defect, where veins and arteries are not formed correctly. Rob has numerous lesions or blebs throughout his body that bleed and have caused numerous hospitalizations. The largest mass is located in his chest cavity and attached to all of his main organs so cannot be removed. When Rob was an adolescent the mass eroded his spinal cord and caused his injury.
Rob continues to fight for his health and live a lifestyle of a typical guy in his 20’s. . Take a look at the video below to see Rob walking at Sheltering Arms Rehab Hospital.
You can support Rob by registering for an upcoming event. If you are unable to attend an event, please make a direct donation. All donations are tax deductible and will go directly toward the cost of Robs therapy, training and walking system.
Rob has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility to the full extent allowed by law for donors. Donors can be sure that funds donated will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses for Rob. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Donate Now button.
