Jake Needs Our Help!

Jake’s life suddenly changed less than two weeks ago. After a day and a half of back pain which he attributed to shoveling snow, he suddenly began experiencing leg weakness. While an ice storm raged outside, Jenny had him rushed to the ER. Once again the horrors of a cavernous angioma was to blame. This time the tumor sat, not in his brain, but in his spinal chord, and it was hemorrhaging into his spinal cord with explosive damage. In just his short hospital stay, the lesion caused paralysis to both legs including the entire lower half of his body.

A dangerous spinal surgery was performed, a neurosurgeon removed the tumor, but a portion of this was not able to be removed. Because of this, there is a risk of recurrence in the future. The doctors gave Jake less than 20% chance of regaining any strength in his legs.
