Christian (Chris) Lopez is in need of a kidney transplant. Chris found himself at the hospital at the age of 24 resulting in kidney failure. He will now be going into his third year of receiving dialysis and is need of a new kidney. We are asking family and friends to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with expenses Chris will face immediately after surgery, including the costs associated with his three-month recovery period.
Chris has always lived a positive and productive life despite his kidney failure. He has never let his health condition get in the way of living life to the best of his abilities — from his passion for music to his passion in his work. His positive attitude has helped him avoid the downside for quite some time, but his kidneys are now at functioning at 7.1%.
Even though Chris has health insurance, many expenses are not covered. He will be required to be on bed rest for 3 months, followed by daily hospital check ins, which come with many bills that he will have to pay for out of pocket.
Make a donation right now by clicking on the Give button or by calling 800.642.8399. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, and all funds raised will be used to offset medical expenses as part of the Help Hope Live Southwest Transplant Fund.
Help Hope Live is a national nonprofit that specializes in engaging communities in fundraising campaigns for people who need a transplant or are affected by a catastrophic injury or illness. Since 1983, campaigns organized by Help Hope Live have raised over $131 million to pay patient expenses.
