Dear Friends and Family,

As many of you already know, for the past several years, I have been courageously battling end stage renal disease. For four years now, I have been on dialysis three days per week, eight hours a day. This is keeping me alive. My doctors at Emory University Hospital have informed me that my best option now is a life-saving kidney transplant as soon as possible.

Due to the extraordinary expense of transplantation, as well as my inability to work, funding this life-saving operation is a monumental task. Despite having Medicare, many of my medical needs related to the transplant are not covered and must be paid out-of-pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, and the expense of traveling to and from the transplant center and then relocation cost at the time of transplant will be high. In addition, I will be on a life-time of anti-rejection medications. This presents a challenge I cannot meet alone and need your help.
