My dearest wife of 21 years, Nancy, is calling out for help.
Nancy is in end-stage liver disease and requires a transplant to survive.
Anyone that has met Nancy loves her immediately. She is a very warm and kind person always projecting positive energy. We’re asking family and friends to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with critical expenses Nancy and I will face after surgery.
Although Nancy has health insurance, many expenses are not covered such as the anti-rejection medication that she will need for the rest of her life. This comes at an anticipated cost of $10k per year. In addition, there will be an immediate cost incurred for air travel, accommodations, transportation, food and other sundry items for the two of us and Nancy’s caregiver. Nancy will need to stay near the transplant center for a minimum of 30 days, longer if necessary. All totaled these expenses are estimated at $7k a month.

A short update: Nancy had her Liver Transplant on December 28th. During the eleven plus hours of surgery, Nancy coded twice. Her heart stopped twice for a total of fifteen min. In recover at ICU she awoke from a 4 day coma with a slight brain trauma. Nancy had to learn how to walk, talk, eat and everything else we do on a daily bases. We will continue Occupational, Physical, and Speech rehabilitation so that Nancy will be the strong and loving women we all came to love.
We want to thank the overwhelming love and support you have all shown. Nancy and I have a lot of thank you cards to mail out.
