Jay was diagnosed in 2017 with IPF, an incurable lung disease, and is now awaiting a double lung transplant at UCSF. His ultimate goal is to see his granddaughter graduate high school, and she is now in 6th grade. Jay dedicated his younger years to youth sports and scouting with his two children. Now, because of the extreme copay costs of the medications after transplant and having to live close to the hospital for recovery for several months, he is in need of financial assistance.

Jay has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
