My dad has PKD, as well as my grandma, so I knew it was a possibility. I found a nephrologist, and we have been working together for over 10 years now. At my annual appointment last May, my doctor told me that it was time to start looking into finding a living donor. That freaked me out! I thought I had at LEAST 10 more good years before it was time. Turns out God had other plans.
November 2020, I went to the Oklahoma Transplant Center, where they started my journey to be added to the kidney transplant list. We found out that it was a 3-4 year wait for a new kidney, so my husband decided that he wanted to get tested to see if he was a match, but he didn’t know his blood type, and he chewed tobacco. This man STOPPED tobacco for me. I know that doesn’t sound like much, but for Danny, it’s a lot. Anyway, we found out in April that he was a match!!! He is finishing up his medical testing, to ensure that he is medically capable of losing a kidney.
Bottom line I guess, is that I am having a kidney transplant, and medical bills are expensive!! My husband, saint that he is, has been saving for us, but we just aren’t quite there yet. Anything you give would be greatly appreciated! God bless you for even reading this far!!

Hi,
If you would be willing to share your blood type with me and it turns out that mine is a match then I’d be willing to help you out with an organ donation.
