Logan likes to spend his free time listening to pop music and watching Scooby Doo. He is a long time sports fan and will crack jokes at any given opportunity. Logan has Batten disease, a rare, fatal inherited disorder of the nervous system. Batten disease causes vision loss, seizures, cognitive decline, speech and feeding difficulties, and reduced mobility. Logan attends a day program at Cane Run Farms and resides with his grandmother, grandfather, and younger brother.
As the disease has progressed, it has become increasingly difficult for his grandparents to care for Logan in the home. His home is in need of accessibility equipment to get him safely up and down the stairs, accessibility of the bathroom, and lift equipment. He is in need of increased skilled care, and at times around the clock care is needed. Logan is cared for full-time by his grandparents and there is minimal support for his increasing needs.
We are reaching out to gain sponsorship to support Logan’s needs. As a preferred sponsor we are extending the invitation to make a significant difference in the life of this young man.
Please consider a donation to help support Logan. Monetary
donations will be used to improve the accessibility of his home, medical needs, and end-of-life care.
Family and friends of Logan Boone are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Catastrophic Illness.
Logan has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

Logan,
I am profoundly saddened that you have this terrible disease. I know first hand the effects this malady has on you and everyone who knows you. As I had a brother and sister who had Battens I can attest to the lasting effects it had on my own family. Please know that I think of my brother and sister often even thou they have been in Heaven for many years. I have supported the Batten Disease Research Foundation and will continue to do so in hopes that a cure will be found soon.
Please know that I will keep you and your faithful Grandparents in my prayers !

Gage Boone informed me of the event. Couldn't make it, but decided to donate. Hope the event goes well and Logan has fun!
