Hope For Linda

Having Stage 4 COPD/Emphysema Linda has struggled with the affects of this progressive lung disease for 6 years. As a mother of 2 beautiful daughters, she is looking forward to spending time with her children and having a healthier life enjoying family and friends. Working hard to complete everything needed for a double lung transplant is difficult but with perseverance she never gave up. Please consider supporting her on her journey for a 2nd chance at life. With your donation, Help Hope Live will fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation. Thank you for your heartfelt prayers and your donations are appreciated.

Hello everyone it's been a year since my double lung transplant. It's been an amazing year! There's things that happened this year like I broke both ankles and my wrist, I was hospitalized several times for being ill. But I made it through with the best doctors and nurses. Do you believe in miracles because I do. After going through a lung transplant and still here after a year, I'm beyond thrilled. Before I get ahead of myself there's still work to be done. I have to see the doctors often and have many tests plus surgical procedures and treatments. These co-pay costs are seriously expensive. Now I know it's Christmas and the New Year is upon us. But this is the season for giving. This is my last message of 2023. Next year will bring more challenges as well. I hope you're all still following my story and progress. My faith in God's Word and his love have promised to always be here for me. I truly believe in that. Please make a donation to my fundraiser and help me get the New Year off to a great start! Thank you all so much. Please make your donation at helphopelive.org My fundraiser is under Linda Sims find me and press the GIVE button

Sending love and hugs to you all

It's been awhile since my last update but I want you all to know my new lungs are working Great!! I was finally able to leave Birmingham, AL and return home May 12, 2023. However on May 18th I had a terrible slip and fall in my home and broke both ankles and my left wrist that required surgery and 2 months rehab. I still can't walk but I'm home continuing my recovery with in home health care and rehabilitation. Hopefully by September I'll be walking again and able to continue enjoying life with family and friends.

During this time I've received medical bills related to my transplant that aren't covered by insurance and they sure add up fast! I definitely need help and so I'm reaching out to my family, friends and Facebook family to help. Even $10 will help and if you can give more, it's very much appreciated. Thank you in advance,

Linda

Hello everyone, the 1st year after transplant arrived on December 6th this year. I\'ve experienced many challenges and many exciting things beyond my expectations. I\'ve managed to make it through them with God\'s love and the courage and strength he provides. I believe in miracles. You have to when you have experienced a double lung transplant. I\'m forever grateful to the doctors and nurses who took care of me. I also need to express my gratitude to all of you that have donated. However, I need you more than ever now. I will be under the care of my doctors as long as I live. I have to travel to Birmingham often, every month for treatment. Insurance has just changed and raised the co-pays on many of my procedures and medications I must have. And they want their money right away I know it\'s Christmas and the New Year is upon us but I need your help. My car isn\'t going to make this trip for much longer. If there\'s anything you can donate to assist with my expenses, please make that donation count right here at HelpHopeLive.org and press the GIVE button. I thank you so much and my God bless you!
