Our dear friends, Keisha is going through an incredible difficult time and we need your help. Anyone who has met Keisha will agree that she has is independent, is self- proud, and works to figure things out on her own.
In 2018 Keisha’s life was turned upside down after collapsing at work unexpectedly. After numerous doctor visits in April of 2020( at the start of Covid-19)), Keisha was diagnosed with Lung Sarcoidosis, Cardiac Sarcoidosis and to top it off she was also diagnosed with chronic heart failure which lead her into having to have a defibrillator placed in her heart. Her whole world changed in the blink of an eye and now is unable to experience life to the fullest. She is now dependent on her mom to care for her.
Keisha has 2 beautiful daughters: Ayana – 22 and Brianna – 13 years old. Keisha enjoys living life and spending time with her friends and family, especially with her daughters who she loves dearly. She is a fighter and true believer that God will take care of her.
Since being diagnosed in October 2018, Keisha began experiencing health problems as the disease continue to progress relatively quickly.
On April 25, 2023, Keisha was blessed with a donor heart and is on the long journey of recovery. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and encouragement.
As you can imagine, the cost of Keisha’s heart transplant and recovery are extreme. To assist with those non-insurance related expenses a fundraising campaign has been established on behalf of Keisha with Help Hope Live a non-profit organization that has been assisting the transplant comminity for over 30 years. All funds are held and distributed by Help Hope Live to help cover cost such as medications, housing, transportation,
and nutrition to support Keisha’s post care. ****Update
Keisha was released from the hospital on May 31, 2023. She continues her post recovery care and continues to gain her strength back. Currently she has to stay in the Fort Belvoir area to attend to medical appointments and still has a long journey ahead. She would like to thank everyone for their prayers and is she excited about celebrating her 40th birthday this month.
God is turning it around and working in your favor. We believe in what we cannot see
God is good all the g ime, even when we are not!
