Hi My Friends and Family,

Quick History:
Most of you know by now the devastating state of my health right now. Since my lung cancer diagnosis in 2019, I have had lung surgery (upper left lobectomy), chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and four different last line trial treatments; and still my cancer has continued to progress. Frankly, at Stage 4, I’ve run out of any further life-saving surgical or pharmaceutical options…. but 1.

What’s Next:
In early August I spent two weeks inpatient at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, to have head to toe evaluations, scans, biopsies, heart and lung catheter tests, and lots of lab work for one goal, and I reached it…. I’ve been accepted into the first-of-its-kind clinical program at Northwestern Medicine called Double Lung Replacement and Multidisciplinary Care- DREAM. This novel program is for patients with terminal, stage 4 non metastasized cancer. Less than 10 people nationally have been able to participate in this program, and it’s only available at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

My sister Karen is usually stingy with praises of other people, so when she spoke so highly of you, I listened. Chemo made me feel lonely at times and if you experience something similar, turn an ear inward and you will hear voices of your friends, and friends of your friends wishing you to get healthy again.
