Christy has Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). In November, 2007 she went into kidney failure and as a result must undergo dialysis treatments multiple times a week.
A wife and mother, Christy lives in Amesbury, Massachusetts with her husband and two young children. The only permanent treatment for Christy is a kidney transplant. She has had several people attempt to donate a living kidney, but unfortunately none were a match. Christy is on the national transplant waiting list and has been for 18 months however the average wait time is 5 years.
Family and friends of Christy Manclark are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with her kidney transplant. Christy has chosen to fundraise with HelpHOPELive (HelpHOPELive) in part because HelpHOPELive provides both tax-deductibility and fiscal accountability to her contributors. Contributors can be sure that funds contributed will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses.
There are many ways you can help Christy raise money for these expenses and remember all contributions are tax deductible.

Thank you so very much to everyone that helped make Laughter for Life such a success. I am truely humbled by the generosity of the community!
