On the morning of December 8th, Bernadette Gaudio was rendered paralyzed from the neck down after an invasion at her family home. Along with dealing with the tragic loss of her son Andrew Gaudio, Bernadette is now focused on a long road to recovery as she continues to heal and push the boundaries of what her body will allow her to do. While we have hope, and progress is being made, Bernadette needs support to get through these next few years of healing.
If you donated previously, thank you – all of that money is going towards the current bills and the care Bernadette is receiving. However, this next phase requires more help. We are now in the position where we need to buy extensive equipment for Bernadette to have a quality of life – a hospital bed, in-home lift, power wheelchair, accessibility equipment, renovations to living spaces, travel for clinical trials, and more.
Anything you can donate helps us more than you can imagine. We’re in this together to support Bernadette and make sure she has every opportunity to heal.
Thank you!
Bernadette, Robert and Valerie
Sending all the love to you both. We're here if you need anything.

Dear Bernadette, Robert and Valerie, I will continue to send you love and support. Best of luck in this upcoming trial. I'll be out of town, but I'll be there in spirit and following the results closely. Love, Jano

Your family came to PW shortly after 9/11. You, Richard, Andrew, and Robert were quickly an active, caring part of PW. Your boys were darling, and as a couple, you were so involved and wonderful to get to know. The tragic loss of Andrew - I remember as an adorable, little boy - and your daunting rehab are more than one can fathom. You are always in my thoughts.
love, Gail
