Patty is home learning how to overcome her physical disabilities from the mini strokes that took place while coming off of life support. Her vision is the toughest part to learn to deal with. Yesterday she folded all of her laundry except for the sheets and made supper; angel hair pasta with shrimp and broccoli and alfredo sauce. She was so proud that she only needed help a few times. She has come a long way in these past few months and praises the Lord every day. She also prays for the family of her donor.

On November 13, 2013 Patty was released from UPMC but must stay in Pittsburgh for her follow up appointments until released for Home by the transplant team. She is working hard in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy to make her goal to be home with her family in Loganton, PA for Thanksgiving.
