Help Hope Live for Christine Hunsberger-Falconio

Christine has spent her life helping others breathe a little easier.

As an elementary school teacher, she is the person who ties shoelaces, wipes away tears, celebrates small victories, and makes every child feel safe and seen. Her classroom has always been a place of patience, warmth, and encouragement—a place where young lives learn to grow.

I had my double lung transplant on July 17, 2026. After 25 days in the hospital (including ICU, the transplant floor, and intensive inpatient rehab for PT, OT, and Speech), I am now recovering at my mom’s house as she lives locally to the transplant center and I live in another state. I will be starting outpatient rehab and have that 4 days a week.

Thank you for your generosity.

I’m awaiting a donor to have my transplant at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Thank you for supporting me through this most challenging time.
