"SMiles for Myles"- Medical Van Fund

Myles is the kind of little boy who changes a room the moment he’s in it. His smile is contagious, his laugh is unforgettable, and his joy – despite everything he faces – is nothing short of inspiring.

But Myles’ journey hasn’t been easy.

821 days. That’s how long I’ve waited to hold Myles without a ventilator attached to him.I know to a lot of people this probably doesn’t seem like a big deal. Parents hold their kids every day without thinking twice about it. For us, there has always been tubing, cords, and a ventilator that had to come with every cuddle.Today, I picked him up and it was just… Myles. He’s not decannulated. We still have a long road ahead. But after 821 days, I got to hold my son without carrying a ventilator too. It’s such a weird feeling because I’m so used to reaching for the tubing and making sure nothing gets pulled. Today there was nothing to adjust. These are the moments that remind us how far he’s come. Two years ago we were fighting just to keep him alive. Now we’re celebrating something that most people never even have to think about.I’m so proud of you, Mr. Myles.

Watching Myles get stronger has been one of the greatest gifts. 💙Just a few months ago, we could only dream about where he is today. He’s getting more mobile every day, learning to pull himself up to stand, and has made huge progress with his breathing. He’s now on 24/7 CPAP and doing 4-hour HME sprints—something that felt so far away just three months ago. With all of this progress comes a new reality: we’re getting closer and closer to bringing him home full-time. That also means having safe, reliable transportation for him is no longer something we can put off.We don’t expect to raise the full $50,000 for a fully accessible van. Instead, we’re looking at trading one of our vehicles for a regular minivan that can be modified for Myles’s medical needs. Even raising $10,000–$20,000 would make an incredible difference and bring us so much closer to making that happen.I know these posts aren’t for everyone, and that’s okay. But to those who take the time to like, comment, share, or donate—you are helping more than you know. Every bit of support brings Myles one step closer to the freedom and safety he deserves.Thank you for believing in our little fighter. ❤️
