Help me get to work.
I’m raising $60,000 to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle — and here’s the part that matters: this covers half the cost. The State of Arkansas is covering the other half.
Through Arkansas Rehabilitation Services, my wheelchair conversion (roughly $40,000 on its own) is already approved to be funded as part of my employment plan. But there’s a catch: the state only pays for the conversion after I own the base vehicle. That’s where you come in.
What the money buys: A new 2026 Toyota Sienna Hybrid. I chose this vehicle deliberately — the hybrid powertrain carries a 10-year/150,000-mile factory warranty that stays fully intact after conversion, and the rear-entry design I’ve selected has no motors, pumps, or electronics to break down. This van is built to last me decades, not years.
Why it matters: I’m finishing my Master’s in Education and am set to teach high school English right here in Texarkana. This vehicle is what allows me to obtain and keep full-time employment — getting to work every day, plus handling the daily responsibilities others may take for granted.
Why HelpHopeLive: Your donation is tax deductible, and every dollar is managed by the nonprofit and used only for medical and related expenses. Fundraising this way also protects the benefits that cover my daily care.
The funds donated are matched by the state’s commitment on the conversion side. Half of this van is already funded — help me finish the job.
Thank you.
Praying for you and very proud of you.
