I have tardive dystonia, a movement disorder caused by long-term exposure to a prescribed medication. It causes sustained muscle contractions in my neck, shoulders, back and left leg. Some of those muscles have shortened and no longer move. I walk with a cane, and my hands and arms give out unpredictably.
My tongue is unaffected. It is the one part of my body that works consistently, no matter what the rest of it is doing.
I am raising funds for a MouthPad, a device that lets me control a computer with my tongue. It would give me a reliable way to write and work on the days my hands will not.
The funds cover the device, the dental fitting it requires, and shipping. Help Hope Live holds the money and pays the vendor directly.
Thank you for reading, and for sharing this if you can.
Hope you can get what you need!! <3 - Jules
