Eric’s Friends Ask for Your Help
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As you probably know, my dear friend, Eric Reicheneker, lived a very active life prior to the tragic motorcycle accident that changed his life forever. He was only 32. As a young man, Eric enjoyed riding motorcycles, four-wheeling and camping. He worked out in the oil field for over five years.
Following his accident, he was diagnosed as a level T10 paraplegic. Through much determination, Eric has been able to make considerable progress by attending a highly specialized rehabilitation program at Craig Hospital. Due to his injury, Eric can no longer work in the field that he has grown to love so much. He makes enough for his everyday living expenses, but not for her injury-related costs. Fees for home health care, rehab, and doctors’ visits are very high. And the physical therapists have recommended a few pieces of specialized equipment for Eric’s home that will help him increase his strength and flexibility.
To help with the cost of these uninsured medical expenses and recovery–based therapies a fundraising campaign in Eric’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. In 2000, they expanded their mission to include those who have sustained a catastrophic injury. All contributions are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Midwest/West Spinal Cord Injury Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for injury-related expenses only.
