Kim Hally

On April 22 2013, while attending her son Tim’s lacrosse game, Kim Hally suffered a devastating brain stem stroke. Life for the Hally family has been forever changed since that horrible day.

Kim has never accepted “no” and has fought over the years continuing to defy all expectations. She went from being paralyzed from the neck down to being able to stand with assistance for longer periods of time.

At the end of 2014 we had a wonderful fundraiser that achieved the goal of raising funds for a handicap accessible addition to the house. In 2015 after multiple surgeries reconstructing the damaged windpipe, Kim could breathe without her trachea and move home.

Today Kim continues to make strides from being able to faintly talk to eating some solid foods.

Unfortunately, she still requires 24/7 care of aids and nurses to which are not all covered by insurance or the state brain injury program she is enrolled. All the medical expenses from medications to procedures have left Jack and his family drained from our broken healthcare system.
