Help Lorine receive her bone marrow transplant.

Many of you are aware that Lorine Lingemann, a longtime resident of Alameda, is battling leukemia. A bone marrow transplant at Stanford Hospital is her best hope for a return to good health. You may know Lorine as the gal with the beautiful welcoming smile at your local grocery store or as the neighbor who brightens your day or as an unforgettable friend.

Lorine is a great person–she is someone who is always there ready to help wherever she is needed. But this time, we need to help her. Family members have been tested to see if any of them were a close enough bone marrow match to become her living donor. Lorine’s sister is a perfect match and the transplant is now scheduled for Sunday, June 28. Lorine remains firm in her hope for a complete recovery.
