Felicia here- Sarah’s younger sister. Sarah has had seizures since as long as I can remember. These uncontrolled seizures have left my older sister unable to walk or talk. Myself and my family have taken it upon ourselves to be her eyes, ears and mouth for Sarah. My mother, Carol, takes care of Sarah full time at our home in Beverly, MA.
I’ve been active my whole life and thought if I can run races on my own, I can certainly run races with my sister… and for a good cause. Just because she can’t run herself, doesn’t mean she shouldn’t experience the thrill of a road race. I have two legs that can help run for Sarah.
To help with the financial burden of Sarah’s medical expenses, a fundraising campaign in Sarah’s honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Northeast Catastrophic Illness Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for illness-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution and click the DONATE NOW button.
Sincerely,
Felicia Carr, Sarah’s sister

The premiere of "Grampa's Future" was an 'award winning' success (yes, the director was given a shining golden statue), but beyond that the love, support and dedication to the goal of raising money for a wheelchair van for Sarah Carr was incredible. By combining the life of Charlie Amore with the recognition of his granddaughter, Sarah, the day wove together joy, the concept of family and the importance of community. The past, present and future came together yesterday bringing transformation through the impact of a story that "many knew how it began but fewer knew how it ended."
March 20th, THIS SUNDAY!! We are readying for the premiere of "Grampa's Future." Along with the documentary we will be starting off with a short titled "What Gets Us Through" by Mel Powsner. Pizza is provided with the price of a ticket. We are having a silent auction, SURPRISE! bags, and Mystery bags for purchase. JOIN US and support Sarah's WHEELCHAIR VAN fundraiser as to we celebrate the completion of a movie 25 years in the making.
Grampa's Future is coming up soon! Less than three weeks away and the time is flying! Please see the tab below to register for tickets. We also have a short documentary about Sarah that has been made by Mel Powsner, a photography student from our local Montserrat College here in Beverly. The Larcom Theatre is just the right venue for our fundraiser. Join us as we gather on the historic stage for pizza after the show.
It is sure to be a fun afternoon!
The flyer is up for the next fundraiser! Please consider attending this event not only supporting our wheelchair campaign but getting a look inside the life of Sarah's grampa, Charlie Amore. Grampa's family meant everything to him and Sarah was a lucky and blessed girl to have him for a grandfather. His love lives on in this documentary.
I made this video for Sarah's fundraiser this past summer.
