Chef Kevin has worked his adult career as an Executive Chef in the Washington DC – most notably L’Auberge Chez Francois – and Great Falls, Virginia areas and as the Executive Chef at Cape Cod Chatham’s The Bradford Inn.
Since 1999, he and his wife have both worked hard to build up his business called Cape Cod Chef On Call, which offers private intimate dining, weddings, rehearsal dinners, clambakes and backyard grills at homes.Their employed private chefs, including Kevin, have cooked for five-star restaurants, celebrities and CEO’s of industry.Because of his declining health, Kevin has not been working and was placed on disability for the last two years. With Kevin’s stay at home caregiving, his wife Judy is taking over the business and all household and insurance expenses. Their loving daughter, Aimee who was born with Down Syndrome also lives at home and requires full-time care. Kevin keeps a positive attitude and takes each day as it comes — but his health continues to decline, and he needs your help before it’s too late!
Florida Medical Transplant Center is requiring Kevin to have access to over $10,000 to cover both pre and post-transplant medical expenses. Without this money, Kevin cannot receive his liver transplant. Transplant-related expenses include large co-pays and deductibles, travel and lodging fees, caregiver wages, medical appointments, and post-transplant anti-rejection medications that Kevin will need for the rest of his life.
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Kevin’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your generosity, prayers and kindness during this difficult time. Please know that any donation, no matter how big or how small, is truly a gift towards helping Kevin receive the gift of life!
Gratefully,
Kevin’s loving family and friends
