Three years ago, after the loss of her daughter Harper Grace, Ashley Kleiber was diagnosed with pulmonary fibro elastosis. Ashley is currently the only one in the state of WI to have this rare disease. Ashley’s condition worsened quickly and she had to stop working. More recently, her health declined dramatically and she was placed on the waiting list for a bilateral lung transplant.
Ashley received her transplant on Saturday May 30th and is currently undergoing another reconstructive surgery on her chest to correct what her doctors say is a very rare chest deformity. At the present moment her chest is still open and we are not sure when they will be able to close her up. Ashley needs our help the medical bills are mounting daily.
Ashley’s husband and stepson Karter miss having her home with them, and she misses her beloved fur babies, Belle, Skylar, and Honey – they are missing her presence as well. Ashley misses being able to attend church with her family at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Manitowoc, WI. She also misses being able to paint and design her finger nails as this was a passion of hers and would help pass the time. After many years of helping others as a CNA, Ashley is now the one who needs our help.
Recovering from a lung transplant is a long and difficult journey on its own, and the financial aspects, even with insurance are daunting. Medical copays, anti-rejection medications that she will have to take for the rest of her life, and care-giver expenses for several months post-transplant are more than Ashley and her family can handle on their own.
To help with the financial burden of Ashley’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the North-Central Lung Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider making a contribution.
Thank you for your prayers, support and generosity. Please know that your contribution counts. On behalf of Ashley and her family, we thank you in advance for your kind consideration.
Gratefully,
Tabitha Seefeldt & Samantha Luedtke, Ashley’s Sister’s

Ashley had a great day today she was more alert, moving her hands and legs and trying to talk with her mom, dad, & sister Sam. This is a huge step if she continues to make good progress she could be moved out of ICU until a normal room by next week.
They found a blood clot in her neck so they are monitoring that overall today was an excellent day. Thanks be to God!

Ashley had a great day today she was in and out of it a lot, but was able to communicate and was trying to be talkative. This is wonderful news! Mom & Sam were even able to do physical therapy with her a little. Praise be to God!

Nothing really changed today Ashley is still doing good. The doctors are hoping that she will be off the ventilator by Friday so we will see how she does. Continued prayers for her as each day passes by. She's a fighter. We know that God has a plan for her so we must trust in him and be patient.
Her sister Sam got the ok today to paint her toe nails for her so that's exciting as Ashley loves to have her nails done. That's all for today I will update you all tomorrow.
~ Good night & God Bless!

Dear friends and family of Ashley,
I have started this fund for the Kleiber's to help them with all the medical bills that they are accumulating while Ashley is down at Froedtert. At the present moment we do not know for sure when Ashley will be coming home. As some of you may or may not know know she is a need of a Bilateral lung transplant. Without this transplant Ashley's health will decline please pray for her that we find a match. Please show your love and support for Team Ashley and make a donation today I know that the Kleiber's will greatly appreciate all the help they can get.
~ God Bless

So sad to hear your story but also happy to hear the results. I had a friend die at 18 and I know he helped over 100 people through organ donation. Prayers and best wishes for you. I tried opening your vendor fair flyer but could not.
Could you put it on FB and invite me? I want to help spread the wordl See you/your family on the 8th.
