In 2013 Darryl Dykes was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease, a hereditary kidney condition with no cure other than a kidney transplant. This disease creates multiple cysts in the kidneys that grow all over and cause the kidneys to be enlarged and nonfunctional. Darryl is currently dependent on dialysis 3 days a week for 3 1/2 hours each time.
Darryl is a father and a grandfather. He is a carpenter by trade and has worked in construction and owned his own landscaping business. His favorite activities are fishing, camping, and traveling. He enjoys cooking for his family and friends. Darryl is an active volunteer in his church, particularly in outreach to veterans and our community homeless population. He has a very giving heart and is always willing to go the extra mile to be a support to his family and friends, and even those he does not know.
Darryl has recently been accepted to Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital for transplant of a new kidney. While this is a wonderful opportunity of life for him, the medical expenses will be very costly. The post-transplant care which is required by the transplant center include, travel, housing within one hour of the medical facility, and life-long anti-rejection medications. This is why we are asking for your support.
We have chosen to fundraise with HelpHOPELive in part because HelpHOPELive assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for donors. Donors can be sure that funds donated will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Donate Now button.

Thank you for your support!
I recently saw a televised program on kidney transplants. And I was shocked to here the statistics of kidney transplant patterns and kidney donors. In the US there is about 170,000 patients on the kidney transplant list waiting for a donor and only 8000,donors. I was stunned at this calculation the largest request from this program was to please reach out to the public and ask the people to consider being a donor. Darryl has been on this list for 2 years now and still praying for a donor. Please be in prayer for him in this situation. And please be in prayer ad to how you can help him in this quest. Financial support is just as vital. Thank you to all who respond.
In this picture is Darryl's only Daughter and Granddaughter. Please if you have not donated to the cause of his Kidney Transplant, Please consider giving if you can, and if not please just PRAY for God's Miracle in the matter of his Kidney. Darryl's only hope of survival is a Transplant and preferably a live Kidney Donor. The Kidney Disease that Darryl is faced with is an incurable disease called Polycystic Kidney Disease. This is a disease that is Hereditary and it has already taken the lives of several of his Family Members. The biggest need in this situation is a Living Donor, so we are in need of deep prayer for God to send the right person to be a Donor for Darryl. Thank you to all who visit this campaign and this page and who have already been a supporter to this need for Darryl Dykes.
my Blessings and Prayers and Thanks to all who read this.
