In September 2020, just weeks after turning 26, my life changed in a way I never expected. I was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) caused by Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). Over time, scar tissue had quietly built up in my kidneys, leaving them unable to filter toxins and excess fluid from my body. After years of specialist visits and testing, I learned that an underlying autoimmune disease had been the cause all along.

Since then, every part of my life has been reshaped by this diagnosis. I’m doing everything I can to preserve the kidney function I still have. I undergo dialysis for three hours a day, four days a week — all while trying to show up fully as a wife and as a mother to my sweet 5‑year‑old. Many of the activities and plans I once took for granted have been put on pause because my body simply can’t keep up with the physical demands. These past six years have been transformative, humbling, and often incredibly difficult as I adjust to a new reality.

I am currently on the transplant waiting list, but as many know, the wait for an organ can be long. That’s why I’m sharing my story — because I need help finding a living kidney donor. A living donor could give me the chance to reclaim my health, my energy, and the parts of my life that have been on hold for far too long.

For those who want to help but aren’t able to explore living donation, I’ve created a space where you can contribute financially. These funds will go toward medical expenses, transportation to appointments, and the ongoing costs of managing ESRD while I continue this journey toward transplant. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings real relief and helps me stay focused on healing and being present for my family.
