Andre Jones

Family and friends of Andre Jones (Big Dre) are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a catastrophic illness. Andre has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax-deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

In August 2024, Andre underwent emergency spinal surgery due to an infected mass on his spine. Unfortunately, sepsis entered his body, resulting in paralysis from the chest down. He is now completely dependent on family and friends to help him regain independence. The donations will be used to purchase a customized wheelchair-accessible van for transportation to medical appointments and to travel to see family and friends. It will be used to fund extensive rehabilitation, support home health care, pay deductibles and copays, as well as physical and occupational therapy.

Andre would love to travel to visit family and friends, and play wheelchair sports someday. He aspires to travel for pleasure, attend live sporting events, and possibly participate in a wheelchair league someday.
