Family and friends of Andrew Garcia are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a transplant. Andrew has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.Andrew Garcia, is only 26 years old, but he’s already fought battles that most people could never imagine facing in a lifetime.

For the past 10 years, Andrew has been on dialysis. Through all of it, he’s endured 3 strokes, countless hospital visits, painful procedures, and more health complications than anyone his age should ever have to experience. There were times we didn’t know how much more his body could take, but somehow he kept pushing forward with strength and hope.

After years of waiting and praying, Andrew finally received the kidney transplant he had dreamed of for so long. It felt like the beginning of a new chapter. A second chance at life.

But shortly after the transplant, complications began to happen, and now he’s back in the hospital fighting once again. He has currently been hospitalized for over two weeks, and while he’s trying to recover physically, the stress of falling behind on bills, medical expenses, has become overwhelming.

Andrew has always been the type of person to keep going no matter how hard life gets. Even through dialysis, strokes, and constant pain, he still tried to smile, stay positive, and think about the future he hoped to have one day. He deserves the opportunity to focus on healing instead of worrying about how he’s going to survive financially during this difficult time.

We’re asking for help so Andrew can keep his transportation, stay caught up on his bills, and have support while he recovers from these complications.
