A little over two years ago I was diagnosed with only a 25% lung function and very severe damage to my lungs. My only hope is that I will have to have a lung transplant.

I am a wife, a mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, and friend. I love being outdoors, helping people and deeply values family.

My illness has made it so that I can no longer enjoy a normal life. Household chores have become challenging. I cannot no longer go camping, hiking, swimming or long walks, even have difficulty with family functions and holidays.

I would ever be so grateful if I were to be able to return to the things I loved. I would love to watch my grandchildren grow up, spend real quality time with my husband and daughters. Go camping, swimming, hiking.

I am still young and have a lot to do and give. I am not finished.

Family and friends of Angela Buddington are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a transplant. Angela has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
