Support My Journey to a Life-Saving Kidney Transplant. At 37 years old, I never imagined my life would look like this.

I’m a mother of five amazing kids, and they are my entire world. Everything I do is for them. But for the past two years, I’ve been fighting a battle I never saw coming—kidney failure, and a rare autoimmune disease that causes small blood clots and organ damage called Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome also referred as AHUS. Since starting dialysis, my life has changed in ways that are hard to put into words. Treatments take so much out of me physically and emotionally. Some days, it’s hard to find the energy just to get through the day, let alone be the mom I want and need to be for my children. Missing out on moments with them is one of the hardest parts of this journey.

Dialysis is keeping me alive, but it’s not a cure. It’s a temporary solution, and it comes with constant exhaustion, strict schedules, and ongoing challenges. A kidney transplant is my best chance to truly live again.

It would give me the opportunity to be present for my kids—to have the energy to support them, laugh with them, and create the memories every mother dreams of. I want to be there for their milestones, their achievements, and their everyday moments that mean everything.

But the road to a transplant is overwhelming. The medical expenses, medications, and ongoing care create a financial burden that is incredibly difficult to manage, especially while trying to take care of my family.

Asking for help is not easy, but I’m doing it for my children and for a chance at a healthier future. Family and friends are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a transplant. I has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
